As a part of Sordo Madaleno’s new cultural initiatives, several SMA staff members met up to visit the emblematic works built by architect Félix Candela in Mexico City.

This past Saturday August 10 the Félix Candela Architectural Tour took place, led by Eduardo Alarcón, holder of a Masters in Architecture and scholar at the UNAM, who offered concise explanations of the following works by the modern Mexican architect: the Los Manantiales Bar and Restaurant in Xochimilco, the Altillo Chapel, the San Vicente de Paul Chapel, Coyoacán Market, the Medalla Milagrosa Church and Santa Mónica Church in the Del Valle neighborhood.

In addition to supporting the ongoing study of architecture, such visits to buildings by renowned Mexican architects fosters a positive working dynamic among members of staff at Sordo Madaleno.
