Solaz Los Cabos opens its doors
Following three years under construction, Sordo Madaleno Arquitectos’ most recent hotel project Solaz Los Cabos has received its official opening, in its extraordinary setting in Baja California Sur.
Thanks to its contemporary Mexican design, its careful integration into the landscape and studied choice of materials, Solaz Los Cabos emerges from the paradisiacal Baja California Sur as a new icon of international hospitality.
Sordo Madaleno Arquitectos was responsible for both the architecture and interior design of the several elements that comprise this hotel complex: luxury hotel, timeshares, restaurants and facilities. The guiding architectural concept was the proper integration of the construction into its context, which was achieved by means of a volumetry that adapts to the terrain in an organic fashion, making reference to the movement of the sea waves.
Solaz Los Cabos comprises a total of 128 hotel rooms, 21 apartments managed by the hotel, 147 timeshare units and 18 Beach Club apartments.
Complementing each space, a display of works of art Cesar López-Negreta adorns the complex, inspired by the region’s natural history and local folklore. In addition, leading Mexican landscape designer Jerónimo Gabayet was responsible for enhancing the spirit of the destination by using ancient local plant and flower species, seeking to protect the local environment while creating a peerless setting.View the Project
