Javier Sordo Madaleno Bringas receives the title of Emeritus Academician
The Mexican National Academy of Architecture, Valle de México chapter, held the Investiture Session for new Emeritus Academicians. Javier Sordo Madaleno Bringas was invited to receive this important honor.
On May 30, at the Carlos Lazo Barreiro Theater of the UNAM’s Faculty of Architecture, the Investiture Event was held to honor those architects from the Valley of Mexico who have risen to prominence for their good professional practices, as well as their great responsibility and commitment to the architectural environment.
The selection process was made by the Emeritus Council, who cast their votes to elect those architects who speak in favor of contemporary Mexican architecture.
Javier Sordo Madaleno Bringas joins this important list of Mexican architects, as an Emeritus Academician, alongside important figures working in the profession such as Bernardo Gómez Pimienta, Agustín Hernández Navarro, Felipe Leal, Mario Schjetnan, Francisco Serrano Cacho and Sara Topelson.
Among those to receive the honor this year are the architects Jorge Alessio Robles Landa, Eliseo Arredondo Gonzalez, Tatiana Bilbao, Isaac Broid, Fernanda Canales, Lourdes Cruz, Enrique de Anda, Clara de Buen, Juan Ignacio del Cueto, Marcos Mazari Hiriart, Victor Legorreta, Mauricio Rocha, and Eduardo Terrazas.
