Massimo Dutti store finalist at the 2017 WAN Awards

Having already won a place on the longlist for the international WAN Awards 2017, the Massimo Dutti store is now a finalist in the Façade category.

Together with six other works from around the world, the Massimo Dutti Masaryk flagship store is on the shortlist of the WAN Awards in the category that “highlights the innovative use of façades and showcases the new technologies that continue to take this transformational building element into new realms."

According to the jury, the Massimo Dutti store is “A well thought through piece of architecture that neither apes nor confuses itself with the local vernacular. The facade architecture is an essay in restraint as well as a combination of old and new techniques.”

The jury in the Façade category comprised Becher Neme, founder of Neme Design Studio, Jennifer Dixon, AECOM’s Architecture Leader for Europe, Middle East, India and Africa, Ian Ritchie, Director of Ian Ritchie Architects, and Benedict Tranel, Director of Gensler.

The winner of this category will be announced on February 28, 2018 at the WAN Awards 2017 event.
