New mixed-use development featuring Park Hyatt Residences in Mexico City

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) and Grupo Sordo Madaleno (now SOMA) announced today an innovative mixed-use complex in Polanco, Mexico City.

The ambitious development, which is currently under construction, will bring the first Park Hyatt hotel and residences, in addition to a cutting-edge office tower. Park Hyatt hotels are located in many of the world’s most sought-after destinations and will be transformational for Polanco, the most vibrant zone in Mexico City for commerce and tourism.

With a design rooted in careful study of the multicultural dynamics of this great metropolis, Park Hyatt Mexico City will propose timeless architecture designed by Sordo Madaleno Arquitectos (SMA) to offer luxury experiences tailored to worldly travelers with discerning tastes. The complex comprises two towers 144 meters high that will establish its presence as a new icon in this exceptional area of the city.

“Park Hyatt Mexico City proposes a new experience in hospitality, residences, and offices in Polancowith extraordinary views of the Chapultepec Park” said Javier Sordo Madaleno, vice president of SOMA. Who also mentioned, “Park Hyatt Mexico City Residences will offer a refined and enriching world-class and consistent experience in all aspects of development.”

The first tower is intended to house the Park Hyatt Mexico City hotel and residences, which will offer spectacular views overlooking Chapultepec Park. The lower floors of the tower will boast exceptional amenities including a state-of-the-art fitness center, spa, and pool, with unmatched views and highly attentive service. The hotel will encompass floors six through 18, offering a variety of room types, ranging from standard guestrooms to expansive suites.

The 22 exclusive 500 sqm residences and a luxurious 1000 sqm penthouse will make up the upper stories of the tower, on floors 19 through 30. Each unit will boast striking terraces offering unobstructed views of the Bosque de Chapultepec Park. Residents will enjoy the world-class hotel amenities, including the fitness center, spa, and pool, but the experience as owner will be distinct from that of the hotel guest, including access to a dedicated private entrance independent of the hotel.

Adding a third use to the complex, the second tower, situated on Arquímedes Avenue, will be exclusively allocated to corporate use, with open-plan, flexible spaces allowing for a variety of internal configurations and offering views over the Polanco neighborhood.

Park Hyatt Mexico City, currently under construction, seeks to have a positive impact on its surroundings as well as on the environment, and for this reason, it aims to achieve LEED Gold certification for efficient energy consumption, minimal emissions, and optimal use of resources.
