The hotel was planned across several buildings according to the specific functions of each and connected by horizontal and vertical circulations. The reception building includes a zone for concessions, general and management offices, a lounge, a dining room and a bar, together with the lobby itself, all of which are stepped to provide views towards the pool and the ocean. The hotel has two clusters of rooms, one to the north of the complex built on one single level perpendicular to the sea; the other located to the south of the complex and parallel to the sea, built on two levels. Between these is located the swimming pool. General services are located in a completely separate building, though connected to the principal one via an underground corridor. In 1975 an extension to the hotel was built consisting of a new five-story building with more rooms. Sordo Madaleno and Wiechers’ solution displays an integration with the first stage of the project, with the general services, reception and other public areas remaining the central nucleus.
